Could be. If that's the case, someone somewhere is having a really good laugh.
There were a number of persian Jews in Iran before the Ayatollah, right? It's not impossible to believe she's one of them, or the child of one of them. Being in Jordan is a bit more strange of course, but it doesn't seem impossible. Still, the photo is classic!
