Can I do it?
I have a goal for the next week.
I recent comment by someone other than my regular visitors got me thinking. During the next week, I need to see if I can attract anyone besides Air Time, Still Wonderin' (who incidentally is trying to pull a MoChassid variation) & OrthoMom (where have you been? I thought we were a clique??) to my blog. Wack-jobs like Vos Iz Neias don't count.
Ready, set, go!

I might not always comment but I've become a regular visitor since I discovered your blog several days ago.
Some of us like to "comment from a distance"...
Hey thanks! I didn't know you three were accepting new membership! I'm honored, truly. What is it, suddenly I'm allowed to join now that you know I'm not middle-aged?;)
TP: and I've been reading yours for a while too. Great stuff. and I know what you mean by "commenting from a distance", I've been doing it forever-usually cuz I have nothing smart to add.
Mom, of course you're in. We're not exclusive yet. (don't take that the wrong way, lol)
Middle aged?? What IS that line anyhow?
like the blog :)))))
Well last week you were shocked to hear I was younger than 40. So now I'm interesting, huh? Your'e SO ageist! And I don't know what the line is, but being under thirty, I am definitely NOT over it!
Hello Buttercup. (I always wanted to say that!)
Mom, under 30? Then you're definitely in! :-) What do you say guys?
(ageist-is that a real word??)
Yup. It's a real word. As in "ageism is the new racism".
and here it is. I thought you were pulling my leg so I looked it up.
age·ism also ag·ism
n. Discrimination based on age, especially prejudice against the elderly
See? Real word. You're SO sexist!
Well, here I can get away with it. If this conversation were in person, I'd probably be the biggest pushover. I'm such a wimp.
Air? I can use some help here...
Calling in the troops?
Like I said, I'm a wimp. Although it seems that AirTime is too busy fighting with DovBear.
If we're talking age here, then I admit I'm a senior citizen-- 43 -- but my young kids, my sense of immature self and my FBC (frum but cool) lifestyle keep me young and hoppin'.
Am I still allowed to visit?
Pearl:
FBC. I like.
Yes. You're a Chrontonian so you're allowed to visit. What are of Chrono are you in? What shul?
Aside from your use, never heard the term "Chrontonian" -- I've been called many things, but not that. What are its origins?
I'm a "northerner-- Thornhill, a BAYT person and another shul, too, up in this neck of the woods. That's all you'll get from me. You can play Jewish Geography with me, though. I know lots of names, even if I don't know the people!
I had to go to a meeting that took all afternoon, so I missed some quality blog time.
Admittedly I was the one who thought orthomom was over 40. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
When someone asks you where you live and you reply "Toronto", doesn't it sound like "Chrono". Say "Chrono" ('ch' like cheese) and you'll see :-)
BAYT and another shul, huh? How many other shuls are there already up there? Lubavitch? Would you believe I remember the BAYT when they were davening in the house across the street? (never mind that I remember when the city ended at Steels)
By the way, what is the plan to get a hundred comments? Tell the world that you believe in God, but that there are no miracles anymore? That the world is rational and anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron?
Sorry, that is so yesterday.
I'M NOT FORTY!!! (Not that there's anything wrong with that).
Well, next time you're "just passing through" Toronto, visit Thornhill and you'll see what's happening to it. If you don't travel up north Bathurst Street for a month, you miss a whole new subdivision going in!
Yes, lots of bigger shuls, lots of smaller minyanim, too.
But I'm a fairly recent immigrant to Thornhill...I was once so sure I'd never live in this part of town, but I conformed!
Ya know, I'm half Canadian too. One of my parents is Canadian. I still have lots of family there and visit a few times a year. (I'm still not 40, though).

Hey, that will get you 250 comments at least.
mom: so you're a half-canadian, multi-armed mother under 40. wow. I think we're narrowimg it down. You may live on my block.
Air: welcome back from soaking your sorrows of losing the game in the local pub. glad to have you back.
Pearl: I was just there Pesach, but I was "down south" and didn't get out much.
Godol: I could have Shifra post. That'll do it.
As it stands, you've officially broken this blog's comment record! The irony overwhelms me.
I just helped you tie my record! 25 comments! (But to be fair to myself, I don't have a little clique like you do.)
Well, now you do!
Can you e-mail me? I need to ask you s/t.
How do you have -1 person linking to you in Yahoo
I could be wrong after all. Do you notice people pronouncing it Ch'rono? Take the time and listen.
